Toronto Real Estate Sales Up First Two Weeks of July

The Toronto Real Estate Board reported sales were up 27 per cent compared to the first two weeks of July 2008.

The average Toronto Real Estate resale price was up four per cent year-over-year to $394,750.

The demand for Real Estate in Toronto is continuing into the summer months, a good sign that home buyers continue to take advantage of affordable market conditions in the first half of July.

Year-to year resales are down four per cent compared to 2008 and the average Toronto resale price of $384,645 is down only one per cent.

The Toronto Real Estate Market continues to hold up very well despite current economic slowdowns that are affecting Real Estate markets around the world.

TREB says if the current mid-month results continue, we might see the best July on record.

Toronto Condos in demand locations are again seeing bidding wars with the selling price well over the asking price.Toronto Condos Downtown are still popular and are supporting the upward price trend of the Real Estate market.
